• Components that could become detached are tested using the small parts cylinder to ensure they do not pose a choking, aspiration, or ingestion hazard

• Attached small parts must withstand a pull force of 90 ± 2 N without becoming detached from the device (per EN 13138-1 requirements)

• All edges and corners of hard and rigid materials are chamfered or rounded with a minimum radius of 1 mm to prevent injuries

For products intended for children under 3 years, we apply the strictest requirements, ensuring no small parts that could be swallowed or inhaled are present.

• Every thread, button, zipper, and accessory has been tested against a list of over 1,000 harmful substances

• Products are free from pesticides, chlorophenols, formaldehyde, allergenic dyes, banned azo dyes, and extractable heavy metals

• For products intended for babies and toddlers up to 36 months, all textile and non-textile components must comply with the strictest product class I requirements

This ensures that the fabric against your child‘s skin contains nothing that could cause allergies, skin irritation, or long-term health issues.

4. Phthalate-Free & Chemical Compliance

Children‘s products must be free from harmful plasticizers. We ensure compliance through:

• REACH (SVHC 254+) – Testing for Substances of Very High Concern under EU regulations

• Phthalates (17P) – All materials are tested to ensure they are free from restricted phthalates including DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP, DNOP, and DIBP

• CPSIA compliance – Meeting U.S. requirements for lead content and phthalates in children‘s products

• California Proposition 65 – Ensuring compliance with California‘s strict chemical safety requirements

Every material batch is tested to ensure it meets these rigorous chemical safety standards before being used in production.

5. Buoyancy Performance & Flotation Safety

Proper buoyancy is the most critical safety feature of any life jacket or swim vest. We verify:

• Minimum buoyancy requirements – Each product is tested to ensure it provides the required buoyancy (e.g., 20 N for garments in the 11-30 kg mass range)

• Residual buoyancy – Even after conditioning and water immersion, the product retains its buoyancy

• Flotation angle – Testing ensures the child‘s body takes the correct in-water flotation angle (between horizontal and vertical, feet down)

• Prevention from sinking – The device prevents the child from sinking further than just underneath the water surface

Products are tested using both test manikins and human test subjects across different weight ranges to ensure safety for all intended users.

6. Anti-Slip Design with Crotch Straps

One of the most important safety features for children‘s life jackets is preventing the vest from riding up or slipping off in the water. Our products include:

• Adjustable crotch straps – Secure the vest in place and prevent it from sliding up over the child‘s head

• Dual fixation system – Shoulder straps + waist adjustment + crotch strap for triple security
