Brushing Adhesive

Workers are manually applying neoprene adhesive: using stiff-bristled brushes, they dip into the adhesive and evenly coat the edges in a full circle, ensuring a secure bond when later attaching the outsole or lining fabric. After finishing one row, they hang it to dry, allowing the solvent to evaporate until it reaches a “finger-dry” state before proceeding to the pressing process.
